Welcome

Hello Parents, students and Hillview Community members, 

It is such a pleasure to serve you as principal of Hillview Middle School. For the past 17 years, I have enjoyed working with middle school students as a teacher, coach and administrator. I proudly served as the Hillview assistant principal for the last 4 years, I love our Husky community, and am excited for the years to come here at Hillview. Together we continue to do wonderful things and make Hillview a great place for kids. 

As Principal, I believe school should be a safe space, alive with activities to keep our kids actively engaged while being focused on learning. Middle school is a very special time in our kids lives. Our kids crave independence, need room to grow as individuals and yet want and need clear boundaries that they will inevitably push against. They need a community dedicated to their needs and focused on doing the most for them. We cannot do this without you. I am sure you all agree when I say our goal is to challenge all of our students academically, while supporting them socially and emotionally, all while creating an engaging middle school experience. Together, we can foster positive behavior, teamwork, and cooperation in our school environment. 

Together let us make the following commitment: 

- We will ensure students do what is necessary to succeed 

- We will not give students the easy way out 

- We will give students extra time and support 

- Be believe ALL students can learn, grow and be successful
