Hillview Middle School Home

Parents and Community members,
It is such a pleasure to serve you as principal of Hillview Middle School. For the past 27 years I have been working with middle school students in the Whittier area and I love our Husky community. Together we continue to do wonderful things and make Hillview a great place for kids.
As Principal, I believe school should be alive with activities to keep our kids actively engaged while being focused on learning. Middle school is a very special time in our kids lives. Our kids crave independence, need room to grow as individuals and yet want and need clear boundaries that they will inevitably push against. They need a community dedicated to their needs and focused on doing the most for them. We cannot do this without you.
I am sure you all agree when I say our goal is to challenge all of our students academically and help together as a team we can foster positive behavior, teamwork, and cooperation in our school environment.
Together lets make the following commitment:
- We will not let students off the hook for failing to learn
- We will make students do what is necessary to succeed
- We will not give students the easy way out
- We will give students extra time and support
You all should feel free to contact me at anytime you feel the need. I am sure that together we will do wonderful things. HUSKY PRIDE!!!

Opening the Door

At the East Whittier City School District, we are preparing our students to be 21st Century citizens by teaching them five essential skills: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical thinking and Community. These skills will open the door to our students' future education, careers and other important areas of their lives.
